'Our Trust Local Committee (TLC) at St Michael's Junior Church School is made up of volunteers who are passionate about ensuring that each and every child at St Michael's gets the very best possible education and achieve their potential. Supporting our ethos and motto 'Believing together we can', our members of the TLC also help to provide a safe and caring environment in which every child can enjoy building happy memories.
Our members of the TLC work as a team, not only with each other, but with all the staff and children at St Michael's. Visitors to our school often delight in our wonderful 'family atmosphere' which I believe is a credit to everyone associated with St Michael's. Our Trust Local Committee Structure is highlighted below:

Ms Andrea Phillips
I have been a school governor for 2 years and I'm married with one daughter. I joined St Michael's governors after learning about the school through a friend at work and was inspired by all the good work St Michael's School does for the children. I bring experience of governance and risk management from a 20 year career in financial services and act as Safeguarding link governor too.
Mrs Rachel Hicks
I've been a MAT appointed governor for St Michael's Junior Church School since September 2019, having previously worked in the school for a over a year in a support role. Prior to this, I worked as a primary school teacher for over 12 years. Currently, I work in an acute hospital setting, mainly supporting young people admitted for their ill mental health, which I've been doing for a few years.
I have a heart for the school and for children to flourish. I became a governor to help support the school and community to thrive. As an active member of St Michael's Church, I am also connected this way and I have served to support the ethos of the school, as well as get involved in other ways.
Mr Joe Vine
I'm delighted to be a Governor at St Michael's. I have a keen interest in Education, having taught in the UK and abroad over the past 13 years. I'm currently a Deputy Head at The Paragon School in Bath. I'm passionate about supporting the school in all areas and in my spare time, I love keeping active - cycling, running and discovering some of the lovely walks around Bath. I live quite near the school and was so proud to see it in the news last year regarding Free School Meals!
Mrs Rachel Perryman
My name is Rachel Perryman and I am a Parent Member of the St Michael's Trust Local Committee. I am new to governance but I have experience as a geography teacher across schools in Somerset. Currently a stay-at-home mum; I am a keen artist and crafter and I play tennis regularly at my local tennis club. I have a strong Christian faith and regularly attend my local Church. I have experience of the challenges associated with children who have SEND and I am passionate about putting the right support in place for pupils. My reason for becoming a governor was to help the school in continuing to nurture and support children.
